so i was waiting for the 22 illini
(the only bus route that pass by my house)
and then there's 2 men - all dressed up, wearing white shirts and black pants
they wore name tags some more!
one man greet me and the other one kept walking.
man: hi! good evening.
me: oh hello! evening to you too.
man: how are you?
i replied, just to be polite.then he asked me what i'm majoring at, and etc.
banyak pulak mamat ni nak borak.
me: ohh, so do you go to the U of I?
man: me? ohh no, i'm a missionary. i'm just taking a break from school. well in fact i just got back from that building. do you ever go there? well you can come if you want to, it's the church of jesus christ. just hang out and ask questions...bla bla bla
me: *smiling all along and nodding my head* yeah, sure. (dont know if he can sense the sarcasm)
man: are you religious?
me: uhuh, you can see by the scarves on my head. *grinning* (because the question sounds so obvious)
man: so what are you?
me: i'm a muslim.
man: ohh you're a muslim. do you go there? *pointing to the mosque*
me: *nodding my head* uhuh. that's when i pass by your church.
man: you know what? i'd always wanted to see how muslims do their services.
me: you can always come there. (pakai bantai je cakap)
man: ohh really? so what time do muslims usually do their services?
me: well it depends on the sunrise and sunset times. it's now around like 6 am in the morning, or like 1pm or 4pm or after sunset like 6pm. bla...bla..bla.
i think because it seems like i was taking over the conversation
instead of him being able to tell me something about his religion,
he then ended it and walked away.
